Product details

Grade 10 lifting chains are designed for heavy duty overhead lifting purpose. It is the best choice in the applications of high strength and heavy duty lifting. Made by alloy steel, it has higher strength than Grade 8 lifting chains. With slight dimensional difference, this overhead lifting chains have medium tolerance according to EN818-2 for chain slings and fine tolerance according to EN818-7 for hoist purpose.

Grade: Grade 10 or Grade V

Safety factor: 4 times of rated working load limit

Elongation: >20%

Standard: EN818-2, EN818-7

Sizes available from 4mm to 42mm.

Surface finish: Self color, black tempered, galvanized, color painted

Features of Grade 10 lifting chain?

Comparing with Grade 8 lifting chains, Grade 10 lifting chains has higher working load and breaking strength.

All our Grade 10 lifting chains have been quenched and tempered to get enough strength, hardness and elongation and fatigue resist properties.

All our chain links are calibrated so that each link has proper dimensions that can match hoist or chain hooks well.

Our Grade 10 lifting chains can be used both for manual hoist and chain slings, just be sure that the manual hoist and chain hooks or other components have same grade strength.

Advantages of Grade 10 lifting chain

Use EN standard raw materials, has higher working load and breaking strength, 25% stronger than Grade 8 lifting chains.

To lift same loads, Grade 10 lifting chains have lighter self-weight.

Can be used in a temperature of -40゜C-200゜C without reduction in working load limit.

Production

Tests:

We do material checking by analyze the chemical elements to ensure the raw materials are as per our specifications.

We do Metallographic analysis of each batch link chain after quench and temper to check if the heat treatment is ok or not.

We do tensile strength test of each batch link chain to see the breaking strength meet standard or not.

We do proof load test for each link of the chain to be sure that there is no weak link or damaged links in a whole piece

We do bend test of each batch link chain to be sure that the chain links can withstand a sudden impact

We do salt spray test of each batch link chain to be sure there is no rust risks.

We check the elongations of each batch link chain after tensile strength test to see if the chain has enough extension before it’s break.

We check all the dimensions to be sure they are in tolerance range and can match with hoist or chain hooks or master links that used to make a chain sling.

Marking:

Grade marking, 10 grade for chain sling chain and V grade for hoist chain

Manufacturer’s mark “S”

What kind of certificates that TITAN SUHE provides?

Mill test report including our factory’s name, address, EN818-2/7, chain sizes, manufacturing proof force, breaking force and elongation.

How to make the order?

Advise the link chain sizes, diameter x pitch length (inside length)

Advise us where will you use this Grade 10 lifting chain, to assembly with the manual hoist or to make chain slings.

Advise us what kind of surface treatment are you prefer to.

Advise us what kind of package would you like and how many meters per pieces.

How to inspect and maintain Grade 10 heavy duty overhead lifting chains

Inspect Grade 10 lifting chains before each use. Except periodic inspection, visually check on a daily basis as per blow list:

Clean the lifting chains before inspection.

Hang the chains up or stretch the chains out on a level floor in a well-lighted area. Remove all twists. Measure the lifting chain length.

Make a link-by-link inspection and discard if:

a) Wear exceeds 15% of a link diameter.

b) Cut, nicked, cracked, gouged, burned, weld splattered, or corrosion pitted.

c) Deformed, twisted or bent chain links or components.

d) Stretched. Links tend to close up and get longer.
